You may remember Ms. Kaitlyn, my gorgeous senior from a month or so ago. She had a stunning senior session in the summer but also wanted a some fall color to mix things up a bit. And I think we certainly found fall for her!

The day we had was amazing and Kaitlyn shone in her red dress...take a look!

I love that she brought along this adorable hat - it totally suits her personality! And that smile? I told you she sparkles!

I think the photo on the below right might be my favorite from our session that day. I love everything about it.

I had an incredible time with this awesome young lady (and her wonderful mama)! Thank you so much for choosing me to be your senior photographer, Kaitlyn! It was an honor and such a pleasure!

Meet Emma. She's a gorgeous, blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauty, member of the Army JROTC and new 2016 Collins High School Senior!

When Jamie's mom came to be about doing her senior photos, she was really excited about the idea of doing it at their new family home/farm. We took a visit so that I could see it and start gather ideas for what I might want to do. And as I pulled up, my jaw just dropped. They have the most spectacular little portion of this gorgeous earth all their own and it was just the perfect backdrop for Emma.

This girl is just so naturally beautiful.  She just glows.

Emma was game for almost anything but one thing she insisted on - her BOOTS!

I think this might have been one of my top five favorite sessions and I know when I walked out of there that night I had made some great friends!. I only hope that one day they invite me back to sit on that dock with a glass of tea and a chat!

Thank you, Emma and Jamie, for allowing me to capture these moments for you.

Meet Kaitlyn, the absolutely beautiful cheerleading, Governor's School for the Arts-attending, new 2016 Collins High School SENIOR!!!

This girl is just amazing! She's smart, beautiful, funny and such a fun person to be around...and did I mention she's just a natural in front of the camera?!

Lately I've been having fun incorporating their graduation year of "2016" into at least one of their senior images. This brick road was just begging for a little chalk graffiti!

I can't get enough of urban settings for senior shoots!I absolutely love all the color and architecture to be found! It makes for some really beautiful images!

The below shot was just one of those "happy accidents." I was having Kaitlyn wait a second while I adjusted some settings as we had just moved locations. I took this to check what I had done...and the result was just so beautiful.

Of course no urban location shoot is quite complete until we attempt that middle of the road shot! This is such a quaint area and we rocked it out! And those shoes? To die for!

I adored the whole Snow White meets Taylor Swift vibe that beautiful dress + red shoes delivered so where better to take such a shot than in a garden (inside the urban setting, believe it or not!).

I hope you love your images as much as I do, Kaitlyn! I had such a wonderful time taking them for you!

Meet the beautiful Sydney, a stunning National Champion dancer and new 2016 Collins High School SENIOR!!

We decided to do a little dance-inspired portion of Sydney's session and it was so much fun! I LOVE this costume!

Look how gorgeous this girl's smile is! She's such a beautiful young lady!

And this leap?! I die. I asked her to do something "dance-ish" (I'm SO technical!) and she did THIS! What?! I. LOVE. IT!

We finished her session in on of my favorite parks. These beautiful daisies just suit her sunny personality!

This girl definitely knows how to work a camera! The bottom photo we got just as a storm was about to roll in!
Thank you so much for choosing me as your senior photographer, Sydney! I loved my time with you and I hope you enjoy your photos!

Meet Joanna, the petite, feisty, kick-boxing, lacrosse-playing, horse-back riding girly-girl and now new Collins High School 2016 SENIOR!!

I have known Miss Joanna (and her awesome family) since she was about 8 years old. (How I hate typing that!) I remember the most adorable little girl with big hair bows and big smiles to match. I am trying to wrap my head around the fact that this beautiful young lady is now a SENIOR, but it's difficult!

Joanna & her mom both had wonderful ideas of what they wanted to do with her senior session and one of them was to have her photos taken at the family farm. It is the most gorgeous Civil War period home and the property around it was equally breathtaking. I could have spent hours and hours there. But I promise, Joanna was the prettiest thing there by far!

And just what does one do when one sees a tire swing just hanging there waiting??
EXACTLY this.
Just look at that joy on her face!

I am a sucker for red geraniums in the summertime so I knew I had to pose Joanna here. I love the tiniest pop of that bright color to set of her white dress.

And the columns! You can't have a Civil War era home and not have these gorgeous columns. They held up the entire wrap-around porch and framed Joanna so beautifully!

Then we headed over to the high school field for some sports shots. Joanna is a fantastic athlete and we had such a fun time doing things uniquely "her" during her session, including working in her signature color - GOLD!
I adore the gold glitter. I've always wanted to do a shot like this and it was perfect for Joanna! Her mom even spray-painted her lacrosse ball gold so we could use it in some shots.

These shots just perfectly sum up Joanna - girly but oh-so-fierce.

Seriously! I wouldn't want to cross Joanna in a game! Her mom tells me it's like she's two different people - once she steps on that field she's ALL competitor. I believe it!

Thank you so much, Joanna, for choosing me to be your senior photographer. I'm so honored to have even a small part in what I know is going to be a spectacular senior year!

Meet Sarah.

Oh, this girl! I don't even know where to begin except by saying she was an absolute delight to work with. She has a spunk and zest for life that is inspiring and contagious and it made our photo session so. much. fun!!

I've been playing around with somehow putting "2016" in at least one of my senior's photos each session. And when I saw that this brick wall already had chalk graffiti on it, was too perfect to pass up!

Then we experimented just a little. It's fabulous (for photo opportunities at least) that downtown settings on weekends can be a little slower. It gave us a chance to try something totally different. So we sat Sarah in her gorgeous glam outfit in a velvet chair in the middle of the the heart of downtown. And it worked. And I love all our images from this location but I think this one might be my favorite!

This bridge location is another one of my favorites and Sarah worked it like the next Top Model! (And I learned what "smize" meant! it's totally a thing.)

I haven't even mentioned yet just how striking Sarah's red hair is because it's so obvious, but just look at how it captures the light so beautifully and allows this gorgeous girl shine even more!

So, thank you, Sarah, for choosing me to be your senior photographer! I had such a wonderful time with you and I am honored I had the chance to be a part of the start of your senior year! Make it an amazing one!

Meet the beautiful Raven, a 2016 Senior at Mercy Academy.

This girl is not only gorgeous and smart, but she has a fabulous attitude and personality! It was such a pleasure to work with her and her family for this fun photo shoot. And can I mention, this girl is also a trooper? The walk to this location wasn't exactly the easiest, but she was all in!

She made my job almost too easy! Just look at that stunning smile! She really was a natural in front of the camera.

See what I mean?

I hope you love these images as much as I do, Raven, and I hope you have a spectacular senior year. I know amazing things are ahead for you!

I am going to issue a disclaimer right now - your heart just might literally explode from the sweetness you might see below. Consider yourself warned! ;)

I first really met Gigi when I photographed her son this past fall for his *almost* four-year-old portraits. She had been a teacher at my sons' school for years but none of them had had her as a teacher so I only knew her in passing before that. When we did Beau's photos she mentioned in passing that she was pregnant...and with a little girl this time around.

Fast forward a few months and I was so thrilled to get an email asking if I'd do her new baby girl's newborn photos. Um, OF COURSE!!! And this was my first meeting of sweet Sadie at just four days new...

Here she is in her Daddy's arms. Would you look how she's holding his hand. I die. Seriously.

She was just so sweet and snuggly - just a perfect angel through the entire shoot. I did just about anything with her and this is the contented face I got!

There isn't much sweeter than little bitty baby feet.....

...unless of course it's this:Getting smooches from your big brother....(don't say I didn't warn you!)

I could truly share image after image with you...i just wanted to photographer this baby girl forever....

This last image is just a little something I love to do for my newborn parents - it's called "Precious Parts." These wee ones grow so quickly and it's sometimes easy to forget and harder to remember just how tiny and sweet they were....Here's Sadie in all her beautiful newness....

Thank you so much, Gigi & Mike (and Beau, too!) for allowing me to come capture this beautiful new time and new little one in your home!
