You may remember Ms. Kaitlyn, my gorgeous senior from a month or so ago. She had a stunning senior session in the summer but also wanted a some fall color to mix things up a bit. And I think we certainly found fall for her!

The day we had was amazing and Kaitlyn shone in her red dress...take a look!

I love that she brought along this adorable hat - it totally suits her personality! And that smile? I told you she sparkles!

I think the photo on the below right might be my favorite from our session that day. I love everything about it.

I had an incredible time with this awesome young lady (and her wonderful mama)! Thank you so much for choosing me to be your senior photographer, Kaitlyn! It was an honor and such a pleasure!

Meet Cole, an amazing young man who is a new 2016 Shelby County High School SENIOR!!!

I took Cole to one of my favorite locations for senior guys because I am totally in love with the barns there. They made for the perfect backdrop for his session.

I truly enjoyed my time spent with this young man and his mom. Thank you so much, Cole (& Patty) for choosing me as your senior photographer! Wishing you the best senior year, Cole!

Meet Emma. She's a gorgeous, blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauty, member of the Army JROTC and new 2016 Collins High School Senior!

When Jamie's mom came to be about doing her senior photos, she was really excited about the idea of doing it at their new family home/farm. We took a visit so that I could see it and start gather ideas for what I might want to do. And as I pulled up, my jaw just dropped. They have the most spectacular little portion of this gorgeous earth all their own and it was just the perfect backdrop for Emma.

This girl is just so naturally beautiful.  She just glows.

Emma was game for almost anything but one thing she insisted on - her BOOTS!

I think this might have been one of my top five favorite sessions and I know when I walked out of there that night I had made some great friends!. I only hope that one day they invite me back to sit on that dock with a glass of tea and a chat!

Thank you, Emma and Jamie, for allowing me to capture these moments for you.

I am so fortunate to do what I love to do and one of my favorite things about what I do is when friends become clients and clients become friends!

I was honored when earlier in the summer, a social aquaintance and now sweet friend Stephanie messaged me to ask about doing an extended family session. It was going to be a large group consisting of her family, her husband's three brothers and their families and his parents! They wanted it as a special Christmas present for her in-laws and I thought that was such an awesome idea! I think there ended up being 21 of them in all!

We met up at the beautiful, historic Liberty Hall in Frankfort. Stephanie everyone coordinated in their beautiful blacks, reds and greys! Aren't they a gorgeous group??
This is Stephanie's lovely family! You will see more of that handsome young man in the center down the road - we also did an amazing senior session for him!

I think EVERY grandparent needs a photo of themselves with all their grandchildren and that's exactly what we got to capture here. I hope to have a photo like this myself one day.

The location was just so beautiful we also captured a few family images for everyone to use for their holiday cards!

Thank you so much to all of your for allowing me to capture these memories for you! I hope you enjoy your photos!

Meet the lovely Presken family! This amazing family had their session in early October thinking we'd have wonderful weather, but alas, it was cloudy and cold all day long! They were such troopers toughing it out and I think we ended up with some amazing shots from the day!

But this one is hands down my favorite. I would would blow this one up on my wall as big as my husband would let me!

We even managed to find a few Black-eyed Susans hanging on to the summer with all their might.

And as much as I love the tall grass in the summer, I think I love it even more in the fall. The golden color is just so pretty!

Thank you, Presken family, for choosing me as your family photographer! I hope you love your images like I do!

I know my blog has been a bit quiet lately but I promise it's not because I haven't been busy. It's actually quite the opposite. I've been so fortunate to have had a wonderfully full fall season and am just coming up for air enough to show you all the beautiful images taken then. I plan on packing this blog from here on out for the forseeable future, so stay tuned!

First up, meet the adorable Miss Clara, a feisty, strawberry blonde four-year-old who is the complete apple of her parents' eye!
This little miss and I had a great time capturing a few images to document being four and for the annual holiday card!

This photo is my absolute favorite - that sweet smile and those clasped hands...I die!

This location was absolutely amazing. The beautiful brick and iron work really set off her hair and dress!

Thank you to the Henderson family for allowing me to capture these beautiful images of Clara! Have a wonderful day!

Meet Austin, the handsome, funny, baseball-is-life new 2016 senior! He has such a great personality with a fabulous sense of humor and we had an amazing time at his session!

His first location was a local park - okay, TWO local parks because we accidentally intruded on a wedding! We didn't let that stop us, though, and we ended up with some fantastic images! I adore how this rustic barn sets off how handsome he is!

But Austin's true passion lies on the baseball field so it goes without saying that we had to take a few images at his high school field. I love trying new things when I can and he was a great sport about letting me. I know this isn't the typical "senior" photo, but I love it.

The light was amazing that night as were the clouds! Both combined gave a really dramatic background to a few of these images!

Thank you so much, Austin, for choosing me to be your senior photographer. I hope you enjoy your images and have the most wonderful senior year!

Meet Kaitlyn, the absolutely beautiful cheerleading, Governor's School for the Arts-attending, new 2016 Collins High School SENIOR!!!

This girl is just amazing! She's smart, beautiful, funny and such a fun person to be around...and did I mention she's just a natural in front of the camera?!

Lately I've been having fun incorporating their graduation year of "2016" into at least one of their senior images. This brick road was just begging for a little chalk graffiti!

I can't get enough of urban settings for senior shoots!I absolutely love all the color and architecture to be found! It makes for some really beautiful images!

The below shot was just one of those "happy accidents." I was having Kaitlyn wait a second while I adjusted some settings as we had just moved locations. I took this to check what I had done...and the result was just so beautiful.

Of course no urban location shoot is quite complete until we attempt that middle of the road shot! This is such a quaint area and we rocked it out! And those shoes? To die for!

I adored the whole Snow White meets Taylor Swift vibe that beautiful dress + red shoes delivered so where better to take such a shot than in a garden (inside the urban setting, believe it or not!).

I hope you love your images as much as I do, Kaitlyn! I had such a wonderful time taking them for you!

Meet Jacob, the handsome, cross-country running, new Collins High School 2016 SENIOR!

I love that this young man wanted to do a few of his senior photos at his high school. They have a beautiful campus (as you can see below) and we took advantage of it and the building itself!

Jacob has got such a great, easy-going personality and fabulous smile! He was so awesome to work with and I think we got some fantastic images to capture his senior year!

Seriously. How many schools have campuses this beautiful? So pretty!

Jacob, thank you so much for being a joy to work with and for choosing me to be your senior photographer! I hope you have an amazing senior year!
