morgan + brandon. | june 2018 | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY} WEDDING photographer. LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY.

There are some things that are so special to witness, time that feel perfect down to every last second, and trust me when I tell you that was Morgan + Brandon's wedding day last week.

These two got married at the incredibly beautiful, serene Broddus Chapel at the Southern Baptist seminary and it was the most spectacular setting for their day.

Morgan has such amazing taste and every detail was perfection. She even brought along her family bible where passages had been highlighted each generation. Her rings alongside Brandon's belonged there.

I'm not sure there was ever a bride so excited and ready for her wedding day. You couldn't remove this huge smile from Morgan's face and the Seminary (where she attends college) showcased it perfectly!

Morgan + Brandon were traditional so they didn't have a first look until their ceremony, but I couldn't resist capturing photos of them both at the same location, only minutes apart.

And her groom cleans up pretty nicely, too, doesn't he? He and his groomsmen looked so handsome in their grey tuxedos.

"Fairytale" is the perfect word to describe their wedding - these beautiful ladies all looked like princesses.

 Finally Mr. + Mrs.!

One of my favorite parts of the reception was the "wedding selfie." So much fun and so cute!
Then Morgan's girls surprised her with a little dance!

And they're off to start their new life together!

Thank you to Morgan + Brandon (as well as their amazing parents) for having me as a part of their special day!

Thank you also to the following amazing vendors that made the day so perfect for them!

finn. | newborn. | august 2016 | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY} NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER. SHELBYVILLE KENTUCKY.

Meet Finn.
Oh this precious boy completely melted my heart.
I love, love, love babies. LOVE THEM! And this is one of the (many) reasons I adore photographing newborns. But let's be honest - newborns can be a bit unpredictable so you never know just how a session is going to go. But this little man? He was the most snuggly, perfect, sleeping little angel you ever wanted to meet. I think he truly would have been content to let me photograph him all day long.

There's not much cuter than a baby in a basket, am I right?

Am I giving you baby fever yet? :)

How about now?!

This bible was his great-grandmother's. We opened it to a passage she had marked in Song of Solomon. This just might be my all-time favorite newborn image right here.

But as sweet as that is, seeing a newborn with their older siblings gets me every time. Lane is such a good big brother to Finn and so proud of him! I adore that Finn's little eyes are wide and alert in this shot!

And the new little family of four. Perfection!

A huge congratulations to the Owsley family and thank you so much for allowing me to capture these priceless memories for you! I can't wait to see the boys grow!

abbey. | collins HS 2017 SENIOR. | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY.} HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER. SHELBYVILLE KENTUCKY. LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY.

Meet the beautiful Abbey, a 2017 Collins High School senior!

We visited a brand new location for Abbey's senior session and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The gorgeous, rustic background really complemented her so well!

See what I mean?

And then we visited one of my favorite parks for a little sunset time. It absolutely made this already gorgeous girl glow!

Thank you, Abbey, for allowing me to capture these special images for you! I hope you have an incredible senior year!

david.| shelby county HS 2017 SENIOR. | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY.} HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER. LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY.

Meet David!
David is a handsome, state championship winning, cross-country running, JROTC cadet who has a larger than life personality! I have honored to have known this young man (and his family!) for quite a few years as all three of my sons have all run with him at one point or another during the course of his tenure. The cross-country community is one of the most welcome ones we've ever experienced in sports so far and he and his family are just one of the reasons. He is a fabulous mentor and leader and I know that he's going to do even more amazing things his senior year.

And let's add to all that just how photogenic this young man is...

I mean honestly! And he does that serious face so well1

I had a ball with David and his mom Amy that night and they were troopers because truly it was one of the most hot, steamy nights of the year! This creek was welcome, I promise!

You might recall I mentioned his "larger than life" personality? Yep. Here it is!
These are just the medals he claimed during the past year, including his state medals. As his mom says, "Running is his super power." And that's the truth!

Thank you so much for letting me be a small part of starting your senior year off right, David. I love your images and I hope you do, too!
