sydney. | lexington catholic HIGH SCHOOL 2020 SENIOR. | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY.} HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER. FRANKFORT KENTUCKY. SHELBYVILLE KENTUCKY.

I want to try and keep up the parade of all my awesome, fabulous 2020 seniors! So let's meet the gorgeous Sydney!
Sydney is a current senior at Lexington Catholic High School and we met up this past summer to take her portraits. And let me just say - if you know ANYTHING about me - you know just how much I adore photographing beautiful gingers and Sydney was no exception! The camera loved her and her outfit choices were spot on!
We ended our session at one of my favorites places - a friend's sunflower field - and it was perfect! I am so excited about the images we captured and am so happy to share them with you!

Thank you, Sydney, for allowing me to be a small part of your senior year!

kristyn + tanner. | march 2020. | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY} ENGAGEMENT photographer. SHELBYVILLE KENTUCKY. LANCASTER KENTUCKY.

Hey everyone!

Today I have a very special couple to share with you! Meet Kristyn + Tanner, one of my September KGP wedding couples!

Kristyn and her family are special to me and we've had many shared experiences but never one like this! I am so honored that she and Tanner chose me to be their photographer for what is not only going to be their dream wedding, but perhaps THE dream wedding. (Seriously - just you wait!)

For their engagement sessions, we did something a little fun and non-traditional. I know I've mentioned it before, but I love when my couples choose engagement and wedding venues that have a personal connection to them and their story. These two were high school sweethearts and it was only fitting that at least some of their photos were taken there. Shelby County High made a beautifully romantic backdrop with their gorgeous blooming trees, don't you agree?

And that ring! It is so Kristyn - classic, sparkly and PINK!

We followed up with a few shots on their high school bleachers wearing their varsity jackets and I about died! I couldn't love it more!

And we finished up with a little tour of their wedding venue and a small preview of what their day in September will bring!

I can't wait to share your special day with you both!

randy. | shelby county HIGH SCHOOL 2020 SENIOR. | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY.} HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER. SHELBYVILLE KENTUCKY.

I'm trying to give all my awesome seniors a time to shine and so on the blog for the next week at least, we're going to be all seniors all the time!

I can't think of a better one this this young man right here. Meet Randy - a 2020 senior at Shelby County HS! Randy is the younger brother of one of my former seniors which makes him special to begin with, but what I love most about this young man is his huge heart. Randy is a senior on the lacrosse team and has always taken the other, younger players under his wing, particularly MY younger player. He made sure he got to practices, took him to away games and even reached out to have extra practices when the season was out or he was simply wanting to get out of house. He is an amazing role model and a fantastic young man. Our house is blessed to know him. I can't wait to see what the future brings him, but I know whatever it is, he will excel and set the standard!

Thank you, Randy, for trusting me with your senior pictures and for all you do to shine your light!

macey jo. | shelby county HIGH SCHOOL 2020 SENIOR. | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY.} HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER. SHELBYVILLE KENTUCKY.

Friends + dear clients,

I can't even begin to tell you how my heart is hurting for the world today. I know each and every one of us is having personal struggles on one front or another or multiple as we are confronting the effects of this world-wide pandemic.

But as high school seniors are my passion and some of my greatest joys as a photographer, my heart is especially soft for them. They have worked 12 years to get to the point of graduation and for most if not all of them, having one is up in the air. Their sports seasons, their competition seasons and their academic bowls are all over. There is no last senior spring break, state tournament or senior prom. And for some (and I'm afraid more to come), they didn't even know their last day in their school, in their classrooms would really be their last.

I am sending all of my senior clients my love. Know that it has been an honor getting to know and work with each and every one of you. You will have an amazing future and go on to do amazing things regardless of the challenges you faced in 2020. Thank you for choosing me as your photographer and I wish you all the best as you begin your future NOW!
