jessi. | ballard HS 2016 SENIOR. | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY.} HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER. SHELBYVILLE KENTUCKY.

Meet the beautiful Jessi, a 2016 Ballard High School Senior!

First, let me just say that I absolutely love when my seniors recommend me to their friends! It is the biggest compliment I can receive and it truly helps my little business grow more than anything *I* could do personally. So that's exactly how Jessi came to me! Her friend, Raven (from earlier in the summer) suggested that she come see me and I couldn't have been happier!

Wasn't this fall setting just perfect for her? We were running a bit out of fall color due to a rain the day before but I think we still managed to find enough fall to showcase this gorgeous girl!

Seniors in bright, pretty colors are my favorite! This pink blouse was just perfect to give Jessi a beautiful glow. I can't stop looking at this series of photos. I adore them!

Thank you so much, Jessi, for allowing me to have a small part of your senior year! I hope it's an amazing one for you!

makayla. | shelby county HS SENIOR. | HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER. LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY. SHELBYVILLE KENTUCKY.

Meet Makayla, the absolutely beautiful, soccer-playing, football homecoming queen and 2016 Shelby County HS SENIOR!!

This girl just glows and I'm so glad we had a spectacular October day to capture all the radiance that defines her. And truly? This gold dress couldn't have been more perfect.

I also think it was fabulous that she picked a much more casual outfit for her senior photos. It made them have an "easy-going" feel that I just love. I could have shot for hours in this beautiful light.

I so enjoyed my day with you, Makayla! I hope your senior year is a magical one for you!

burke family mini session | october 2015 | {KELLY GOREE PHOTOGRAPHY} FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER. LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY.

Each fall I do mini sessions! They are probably some of my most favorite sessions of the year because they are quick, fun and I get to see so many of my returning families all at once!

This particular family is one of my favorites! Meet the Burkes. This was actually the first time I got to photograph ALL the children but baby Silas has been with me since he was 3 months old! Aren't they such a gorgeous group?!
The oldest, Miss Maggie, is an awesome mini-mom and is so amazingly helpful in organizing/gathering the others!

I want this photo on MY wall, I love it that much!

And each mini session also comes with individual shots as well. I think it's so important to document each kiddo at each age and stage! They truly grow up so fast!

And my little man! Those blue eyes and that smile slay me every time!

I can't wait to see you again next year, Burke family!

harrison. | shelby county HS 2016 SENIOR. | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY.} HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER. LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY.

Meet Harrison, the handsome, guitar-playing, outgoing, amazing 2016 Shelby County High School senior!
I have to admit that I don't even know where to begin when talking about this young man. I suppose I'll start by saying I've known his beautiful mom socially for many years. We'd always wave and say hello when we would see each other and I had watched as her two beautiful kids grew up. I was so honored when Stephanie chose me to take Harrison's senior photos but thrilled when she filled me in a little bit with the kind of session they were hoping to have.

Harrison is very unique and has such a passion for music. He and his mom really wanted a session that captured that for him so Stephanie suggested we take the photos in a gorgeous part of Louisville, right by (AND IN!!) Harrison's favorite record store. I was hooked from the start and am over-the-moon excited about the images that we captured.

Both in front of and inside the record store...
(The album he's holding is the next one he wanted to get. I love that we could include it!)

This part of Louisville was full of gorgeous architectural details and quirky things. A lot of senior boys "tolerate" senior photos but Harrison really came alive in his favorite place!

And did I mention his style?! He rocked it out.

It was a huge pleasure work with this young man, really getting to know him and his amazing mom! I love that I can now call them friends! Harrison, I know you will achieve great things with your fabulous outlook on life, your stellar personality and winning smile! I will be excited to keep watching and see just what they are!

kaitlyn. part 2. | Collins HS 2016 SENIOR. | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY}. LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY.

You may remember Ms. Kaitlyn, my gorgeous senior from a month or so ago. She had a stunning senior session in the summer but also wanted a some fall color to mix things up a bit. And I think we certainly found fall for her!

The day we had was amazing and Kaitlyn shone in her red dress...take a look!

I love that she brought along this adorable hat - it totally suits her personality! And that smile? I told you she sparkles!

I think the photo on the below right might be my favorite from our session that day. I love everything about it.

I had an incredible time with this awesome young lady (and her wonderful mama)! Thank you so much for choosing me to be your senior photographer, Kaitlyn! It was an honor and such a pleasure!

emma. | Collins HS 2016 SENIOR. | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY.} HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER. SHELBYVILLE KENTUCKY.

Meet Emma. She's a gorgeous, blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauty, member of the Army JROTC and new 2016 Collins High School Senior!

When Jamie's mom came to be about doing her senior photos, she was really excited about the idea of doing it at their new family home/farm. We took a visit so that I could see it and start gather ideas for what I might want to do. And as I pulled up, my jaw just dropped. They have the most spectacular little portion of this gorgeous earth all their own and it was just the perfect backdrop for Emma.

This girl is just so naturally beautiful.  She just glows.

Emma was game for almost anything but one thing she insisted on - her BOOTS!

I think this might have been one of my top five favorite sessions and I know when I walked out of there that night I had made some great friends!. I only hope that one day they invite me back to sit on that dock with a glass of tea and a chat!

Thank you, Emma and Jamie, for allowing me to capture these moments for you.

kaitlyn. | Collins HS 2016 SENIOR. | {KELLYGOREEPHOTOGRAPHY}. FRANKFORT KENTUCKY.

Meet Kaitlyn, the absolutely beautiful cheerleading, Governor's School for the Arts-attending, new 2016 Collins High School SENIOR!!!

This girl is just amazing! She's smart, beautiful, funny and such a fun person to be around...and did I mention she's just a natural in front of the camera?!

Lately I've been having fun incorporating their graduation year of "2016" into at least one of their senior images. This brick road was just begging for a little chalk graffiti!

I can't get enough of urban settings for senior shoots!I absolutely love all the color and architecture to be found! It makes for some really beautiful images!

The below shot was just one of those "happy accidents." I was having Kaitlyn wait a second while I adjusted some settings as we had just moved locations. I took this to check what I had done...and the result was just so beautiful.

Of course no urban location shoot is quite complete until we attempt that middle of the road shot! This is such a quaint area and we rocked it out! And those shoes? To die for!

I adored the whole Snow White meets Taylor Swift vibe that beautiful dress + red shoes delivered so where better to take such a shot than in a garden (inside the urban setting, believe it or not!).

I hope you love your images as much as I do, Kaitlyn! I had such a wonderful time taking them for you!
